Association of Running Clubs

Oxted Runners is affiliated to the Association of Running Clubs. This Entitles Club members to enter ARC affiliated races and get a £2 discount on their fee.  The affiliated races are listed on ARC’s website.

England Athletics

Members can choose to become affiliated to England Athletics for an additional fee.  Membership of England Athletics brings a wide variety of benefits for members ranging from reduced entry fees for road races to discounts at Sweatshop and much more.  To find out more visit the England Athletics Registration & Affiliation on the EA website.

Another benefit of membership is that the club receives a free place or places for entry to the following year’s London Marathon. The club normally holds its own ballot for these places at our annual Christmas party.  Given the number of places awarded is dependent on the number of affiliated club members, only affiliated members – who have not been successful in the main London Marathon ballot – are invited to put forward their name into a club ballot.  Thus if you are interested in running the London Marathon this may be another reason to become EA affiliated.
